CanILF and Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (CW4WAfghan) have launched a joint fundraiser to help Afghan refugees resettle in Canada. Beneficiaries will include those with close ties to CW4WAfghan and CanILF – including Afghan Canadian Community Center (ACCC) Director Ehsanullah Ehsan’s family and the family of former ACCC student Maryam Sahar. If you wish to support a specific program, please write either “Afghan School Project” or “ULEP” (Uganda Literacy and Education Program) in the memo field. If the memo field is left blank, we will choose the program with the greatest need.

We are a volunteer-run charity. 100% of donations directed toward the Afghan School Project and the Uganda Literacy and Education Program (ULEP) are used to support student scholarships and educational equipment, and no portion is used to support administration.

You don’t have to make a big donation to make a big difference. Here are a few examples of what donations to the Canadian International Learning Foundation can accomplish:

$60.00 – One term (four months) of post-secondary education.

$160.00 – Used tape recorders for four classrooms, to help students learn new languages.

$240.00 – A year of intensive professional training, such as Business Management, complimented with additional language training.

$375.00 – A set of large back-up batteries, which reduces a school’s reliance on expensive generator power.
